Using A Dictionary
Good dictionary can tell you a lot more about a word than just its meaning.
When you look up a word (find a word in a dictionary) you will get the following
The meaning
homesick= unhappy because you are away from home for a long of time
The pronunciation _phonetic symbols
Word- class (parts of speech
Noun (n) : information
Verb (v) : write
Adjective (adj) :happy
Adverb (adv): slowly, often
It also tells you whether the noun is C (countable) U (uncountable
whether a verb is normally transitive ({T} needs an object) or intransitive ( {I} doesn't need an object) as well it gives you different forms of a verb ( begin= began, begun
