Why do people learn foreign language?
It is easy question to answer but when you think deeply about this question your mind will give a lot of ideas about when people start to learn second language maybe some of them like to challenge themselves by learning foreign language because learn new language is challenge for people or try to communicate and learning some thing new and useful from other culture . There for , some people say that "language is the only way to communicate with other's " but in my opinion language is the main key between human which mean people can exchange their culture , they could meet each other and be friends like countries. In addition , it is not limited for people only that not true as people can use languages to communicate between each other as animals has language . We know every part of the world has it is own language so every one has special language to use it in his ambiance but now people try some times or choosing out to learn new language or more them maybe two language and study every thing about the language as main major in colleges or university. Also , learn foreign language can give great future for the parson who want be in the top because governments spend a lot of money for student who want learn language by many ways like scholarship .
What it is the English language means for people? and why people want to learn and study this language as well? To day language is the most languages around the world is used form a lot of people . For Example, I am business man in Saudi Arabia and I want get some merchandise form Japan so the only one easer way to ask them about what I am looking for by using English language so in many ways this language play important rule in our life and in the all over the world. My grandfather told me lf any country around this plant get the high position of Technology and Education , so the language of that country it will be the universal language.
Mr. Jeremy Harmer said that "Some people want to study English (or another language) because they think it offers a chance for advancement in their professional lives. They will get a better job with two languages then if they only know their mother tongue. English has a special position here since it has become the international language of communication ." Also, he said " some student find themselves living in a target language community. A target language community (TLC) is one where the inhabitants speak the language which the student is learning ;for student of English an English speaker country will be a (TLC). The student would need to learn English to survive in that community .
The culture is the one of many advantages of learning language. Mr. Harmer said " some student study a foreign language because they are attracted to the culture of one of the TLCs (see (s) above ). They learn the language because they want to know more about the people who speak it and I agree with them .
Finally, it is not easily to learn language but as Fabio Girelli – Carasi , the director of foreign languages at New York University 's School of continuing said that" Just sitting there ten hours will not make you darker then five "in other words, do your homework .
